Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for using a harmful chemical, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was caught up in the incident in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
This event – which authorities stated was not part of a series and not being treated as terrorism – caused train delays and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
