This young athlete maintains impressive social media presence
The young golfer will have numerous high-profile backers when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns several courses worldwide and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she stated.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply stay calm."
"He basically suggested to compete and have fun," she explained.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with running the country, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, the golfer has participated in only three events this year and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.
However she can receive tips from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the top athlete in the world," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He advised me to play, relax, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at the competition, featuring second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence exposes golf to wider groups, especially reaching the next generation.
Kai has millions of followers and has started a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
