Plane Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A plane transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an emergency landing in the UK on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, according to an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The plane touched down following established safety measures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson said in a social media post.
He was traveling back from a brief trip to the Belgian capital at the time.
This occurrence does not mark the initial instance that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was required to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
